With you, life's a picnic!

Volunteers Honored at the 38th Annual Recognition Luncheon

While it’s impossible to adequately recognize all that RSVP volunteers do for programs, agencies, and schools in our community, it’s fun to try!

On June 23rd, RSVP members attended an indoor picnic on St. Joseph Mercy Hospital’s campus and were recognized for their contributions of time, effort, caring, and skills.  Lawrence Voight, President of Catholic Social Services personally thanked the group and the always-amusing and long-time RSVP volunteer Ed Marsh emceed the event that included a musical performance and sing-along by professional pianist, Kathy Ranus, and a delicious picnic lunch courtesy of Hillside Terrace, Chelsea Community Hospital, and Zingerman’s.  The event would not be complete without the annual raffle with a large array of prizes donated by area businesses. The prizes were plentiful.

Vimla Sharma, our Grand Prize raffle winner, (see right) took home the Night in Chelsea; a prize package that included :

  • One overnight stay for two in a Jacuzzi room
  • Two tickets to the Purple Rose theatre
  • Gift certificate to the Common Grill
  • Bottle of champagne
  • Breakfast for two

The RSVP Program was thrilled to honor and recognize its volunteers for their hard work and dedication to serving the community!
